WordPress Multisite for Weighwell, Barnsley

Weighwell is an engineering company based in Barnsley that specialises in one particular product – a portable train weigher.

The PTW was invented and patented by company founder, Paul Horsfall, in 1988. It revolutionised the process of train weighing and is now used in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Weighwell approached us to update their existing website, which had fallen behind in terms of content and design. Weighwell sought a more modern look to reflect the company’s evolution, along with some new features and interactive elements, such as videos.

Having taken a brief from Weighwell, we collaborated with their internal team, who provided new content, to develop a WordPress multisite. The expectation was that the website would be translated into an additional eight languages over time.

The UK version of the website was launched in the summer of 2025. Thank you to all the team members at Weighwell for engaging us in this great project.
