Go Web sponsors another local football club

I have once again succumbed to my love of football and agreed to be a sponsor for my local non-league football club. Go Web sponsors Worsbrough Bridge AFC for the forthcoming football season.

Worsbrough Bridge AFC is based in Barnsley, just down the road from us in Birdwell. I’ve supported the Briggers for a number of years and attend games regularly, so I was more than happy and proud to become one of the club’s sponsors for the 2022/23 season.

The Briggers celebrate their centenary this year, with numerous events planned to mark the occasion. These include the unveiling of a plaque which will be presented to them by former Barnsley FC, Sheffield Wednesday, and Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson.

Without the support of local businesses, non-league football clubs would struggle to survive. Therefore I’d urge anyone else in the area, particularly football lovers, to get behind their local non-league teams and attend games if you can. The people behind the scenes at clubs such as Worsbrough Bridge are generally volunteers, and dedicate their own time and energy to promote the grassroots game not only for local men’s teams but for the ever-growing women’s game and of course local children’s teams.
